WAVES – BREATHING – CALM – INTENSITY

AUT - Aarhus Unge Tonekunstnere presents a concert with Duo Knarborg/Andersen.
Experience composers from 4 different cultures exploring the potential of the violin and percussion instruments - and participate actively in the music
making as an audience member. You’re invited into a world of new cutting-edge works for violin and percussion combined with interactive electronics,
controlled by the latest version of the MUGIC® -sensor.

David Mastikosa: "Oscillation of Anticipation" (premiere)

Duo Knarborg/Andersen: Duo Knarborg/Andersen consists of violinist Anne Sophie Andersen and percussionist Henrik Knarborg Larsen,
both highly respected in their field.

Anne Sophie Andersen is an active violin soloist, chamber musician and composer. She is concertmaster of the Aarhus Chamber Orchestra,
and Artistic Director of the international New Music for Strings Festival. Anne Sophie holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University
and has studied under prominent musicians such as Philip Setzer of the Emerson String Quartet. She has won several prestigious awards and grants,
including 1st prize in the Royal Swedish Academy of Music Scholarship Competition, Stony Brook University's Samuel Baron Prize, and work grants
from KODA and the Danish Arts Foundation.

Henrik Knarborg is one of the most prominent percussionists in Denmark. As head of the percussion program at the Royal Academy of Music,
he has contributed significantly to the development of percussion education in Denmark. Henrik has performed as a soloist at international festivals
and has given masterclasses all over the world, including New York, Berlin, Krakow, Dublin, Hanoi and Jakarta. His groundbreaking artistic research in
movement, bodily resonance and scenic interpretation has been widely recognized (see for example www.interpreation.dk)
